Ottawa International Airport is setting up Air France’s arrival for the second consecutive year, connecting the Canadian capital to Europe.
The connection began in June 2023, following the suspension of transatlantic services due to the COVID-19 health crisis. This expansion comes just in time to meet the demand for Olympic Games travel for 2024.
Air France has already scheduled services to Ottawa for the 2024 summer season, the airline’s fifth destination in Canada, complementing Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, and Quebec City. This route is a vital service for the Canadian capital, connecting the city to the rest of the world.
Ottawa continues to progressively recover from the pandemic, with the resumption of several routes to the United States and the Caribbean. In addition, service to Paris on its only transatlantic connection.
«The exciting thing is that we can bring people to Ottawa for events and tourism and business from France and other destinations around there,» said Mark Sutcliffe, Ottawa’s mayor.
Services will depart from both cities on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays operated on an Airbus A330-200 with a 224-seat capacity. Flight AF 328 departs Charles de Gaulle Airport at 13:10 and lands in Ottawa at 15:05. The return flight AF 327 departs the Canadian capital at 17:05 and arrives in Paris at 06:15 the following day.
