The Slovenian Connection: Norwegian sets flights to Ljubljana for summer 2024

Norwegian recently introduced 40 new routes to the 2024 summer schedule, 17 of them from Denmark. The low-cost airline is also adding a non-stop route to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, bringing the total number of routes from Denmark to 18 when the summer schedule kicks off at the end of March.

We continue to expand our route network with exciting destinations from Denmark, which is one of our most important markets. Ljubljana is an exciting new tourist destination offering culture, nature, and an attractive city center for families, and fits well with our ambition to inspire our customers to explore more new destinations,” said Magnus Thome Maursund, Norwegian’s Chief Commercial Officer.

Norwegian will provide the only non-stop connection between Slovenia and Scandinavia, strengthening trade and tourism links between the two regions.

We are very pleased that Norwegian now connects the Nordic region to Slovenia with its Copenhagen to Ljubljana route. Slovenia is the green heart of Europe, a great tourist destination, and an excellent meeting point,” said Tanja Fajon, Slovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Service between Copenhagen and Ljubljana will begin on April 29 and will be scheduled twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays in low season and Tuesdays and Saturdays in low season.

In addition to the new Norwegian service, Ljubljana Airport will be served next summer by Iberia from Madrid, Corendon Airlines from Antalya and Heraklion, and Airbaltic from Riga.
