Bonza surpassed 750,000 passengers transported in 2023. On January 31, the low-cost company celebrated its first year of operations.
The airline operates flights to 21 destinations in Australia, with 84% of these routes not served by any other airline, and 89% not operated by a low-cost carrier.
Tim Jordan, CEO of Bonza, stated: «It’s truly a Bonzaversary to remember: since our inaugural flight on January 31, 2023, Bonza has expanded to operate 38 routes to 21 destinations from three bases, with 84% of these routes exclusive to Bonza.»
«Bonza aims to make air travel affordable for many, not just a few, and improve accessibility for all Australians, especially those in regional areas. We’ve taken significant steps in fulfilling our mission, with over $125 million already saved by Australian travelers,» he added.
Bonza is firmly focused on growth in 2024, planning to expand its fleet beyond the current six Boeing 737-8 aircraft. Additionally, the airline continues to add destinations to its network and anticipates opening a fourth base before the end of the year.
«We have big plans for 2024, benefiting the Australian public. We predict saving around $250 million for national travelers next year. Competition in the Australian skies is fantastic for Australian travelers, and over 750,000 customers have already experienced the advantages of Bonza,» Jordan added.
To celebrate its Bonzaversary, the airline is offering over 200,000 seats on all routes for $49 per person until February 5, 2024, subject to availability and selected travel dates.
Bonza has taken a fresh approach to air travel with its All Aussie menu, showcasing the best Australian food and beverage producers nationwide. Its gender-neutral uniform, «Wear it Your Way,» has garnered significant support.
