Philippine Airlines is expanding its U.S. offerings with new nonstop service between Manila and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This route will complement the carrier’s operations to Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York JFK.

The Philippines is Seattle’s largest underserved market and Philippines Airlines’ nonstop service will provide a travel option for travelers, avoiding a stopover at an Asian hub. This route will serve the Philippines tourist market and people visiting friends and family.

Washington state is home to the fourth largest Filipino population in the country. For more than 100 years, Filipinos have contributed to the region’s artistic, business and political leadership. Non-stop service to Manila has long been one of our most requested routes, and we are thrilled that this new flight will not only serve the Filipino community in Puget Sound, but anyone interested in exploring the rich history, beauty and hospitality of the Philippines,” said Toshiko Hasegawa, Vice President of the Port of Seattle Commission.

We have been looking forward to this announcement for some time and are delighted to welcome Philippine Airlines to our region. This new direct route will offer valuable economic impact to our region and open up opportunities for outbound travelers visiting the Philippines and other countries, including Seattle’s sister city, Cebu, Philippines. It will also serve as an important connector between our two communities for business and leisure travel,” added Lance Lyttle, Managing Director of the Port’s Aviation Division.
