American Airlines is increasing its operations in Brazil with the start of non-stop flights between Dallas/Fort Worth and Rio de Janeiro. At the inauguration ceremony, the aircraft was greeted by a water arch and passengers received exclusive gifts. The airline previously operated this route but it was suspended in February 2015.
Flight AA 937 was operated on a Boeing 787 registered N871AY, which departed Dallas/Fort Worth Airport at 20:33 local time on October 26 and arrived at Galeao International Airport at 08:28 the following day, after nine hours and 55 minutes.
Dallas/Fort Worth is American Airlines’ main hub and the second and second busiest airport in the United States, serving a wide range of destinations in North America. The new service will boost tourism and trade between the US and Brazil, optimizing business and leisure travel.

In addition to the route to Dallas/Fort Worth, American Airlines’ offering in Rio de Janeiro also has 10 weekly flights from Miami and operates daily from New York-JFK, both services are operated on Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.
