JetBlue began nonstop service between New York-JFK and Bonaire with two weekly flights, with the only nonstop connection being between John F. Kennedy Airport and Flamingo International Airport. With this new route, JetBlue now offers flights to all three ABC islands: Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao in the Dutch Caribbean, as well as St. Maarten, consolidating its Caribbean network.
“Renowned for its natural beauty, pristine beaches and warm hospitality, we are excited to launch service to Bonaire, introducing a new destination and more travel options to our customers looking for a Caribbean getaway. Expanding our service in the Caribbean demonstrates our commitment to continue providing our customers with exceptional travel options and experiences while promoting tourism and accessibility,” said David Jehn, vice president of network planning and airline partnerships at JetBlue.
The new route to Bonaire is focused on leisure and VFR (visiting family and friends) travelers. This connection boosts its operation in the Big Apple, reaching a schedule of up to 34 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean from New York-JFK this winter season, more than any other airline.
