LEVEL closed the 2024 summer season with a record of 579,935 passengers, a 31% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth reflects the expansion of routes and seats between Barcelona and the Americas, where LEVEL captures one in four long-haul seats offered from Barcelona-El Prat airport, according to the company in a statement.
LEVEL’s fleet now includes six A330-200s, in line with its expansion plans to reach eight aircraft by 2026. The summer season introduced the new Barcelona-Miami route, which, due to high demand, already has annual operations scheduled.
In the United States, the airline also operated daily flights to Boston, Los Angeles, and New York, maintaining its leading position in seat capacity on the Barcelona-New York route. Additionally, it operated three weekly flights to San Francisco. In South America, LEVEL’s network includes flights to Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile. The company highlighted that it was the sole operator on the market for four of these routes.
Meanwhile, LEVEL continues the process of obtaining its Air Operator Certificate (AOC), which will facilitate its expansion in the United States and Latin America.
Earlier this year, LEVEL began updating its Premium Economy cabins on its Airbus A330-200, increasing seat availability from the current 21 to 42. The new cabin configurations will feature 42 seats in Premium Economy and 269 in Economy, reducing the total capacity from 314 to 311 passengers.
“The summer season shows a very positive balance, thanks to the solid offering we provide to our customers, reflecting LEVEL’s ongoing commitment to the development of Barcelona’s intercontinental hub,” stated Lucía Adrover, Chief Commercial & Network Officer of LEVEL.
