Nuevo Pudahuel reports an 11.9% increase in passenger traffic at Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago, Chile, during October, compared to the same month in 2023.
The data comes from the monthly reports of Groupe ADP and VINCI Concessions, the two main shareholders of Nuevo Pudahuel, the company responsible for operating the country’s main air terminal.
According to reports gathered by our associated outlet, AEROIN, 2,254,891 travelers passed through Santiago Airport in October 2024, representing an 11.9% increase compared to October 2023 and a 20.2% rise compared to the same month in 2019.
In this activity, domestic flights accounted for 1.25 million travelers (55.5%), while international flights reached 1.00 million (44.4%).
Between January and October of this year, passenger traffic at Santiago Airport reached 21,587,639 people, marking a 13.3% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Compared to 2019, the variation was 4.8%, with 20,604,590 travelers recorded that year.
Additionally, according to the reports, there were 14,015 aircraft movements in Santiago in October, 11.9% more than in 2023, bringing the total to 135,625 movements between January and October of this year.
