Norse Atlantic Airways announced that it will establish operations at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport with a new direct route to Bangkok, Thailand, starting October 29, 2025. According to the company, the route will be operated twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, until the end of the winter season.

Norse Atlantic will use Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 338 passengers, divided into Premium and Economy classes. According to the airline, this connection will not only strengthen ties between Sweden and Thailand for passengers but will also serve as an important route for cargo transport, especially for technological products that require faster delivery times.

Jonas Abrahamsson, President and CEO of Swedavia, the airport operator, highlighted that this investment reflects great confidence in the Swedish market. «Norse Atlantic will play an important role in connecting Sweden with Thailand. Swedavia’s main goal is to increase connectivity, and this new route further facilitates encounters between people, whether for business, leisure, or family visits» he stated.

«With our entry into Sweden and the launch of our Stockholm-Bangkok route, Norse Atlantic Airways is redefining long-haul travel, challenging a market dominated by traditional airlines. This new route ensures travelers a premium and affordable option on one of the most in-demand long-haul routes» added Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways.

The current network of the airline, which has successfully filled the gap left by Norwegian in the low-cost long-haul segment, currently operates the following routes:
