Vueling inaugurated its new route between Bilbao (BIO) and Budapest (BUD), Hungary, which will be available from December 5, 2024, to January 1, 2025, with two weekly flights.
The inaugural flight to Budapest departed today, December 5, from Bilbao at 7:00 AM (local time) and arrived in the Hungarian city at 9:55. The return to Spain took off from Budapest at 10:35, landing in Bilbao at 1:35 PM. The itinerary was operated by the Airbus A320ceo EC-MEQ, which is 9 years old.
This new connection is part of a plan for seven special routes for the Christmas season, between November 30 and January 11, aimed at connecting travelers with several popular destinations in Europe. In addition to Budapest, the new destinations include Tromsø (Norway) and Rovaniemi (Finland), places renowned for their winter attractions.
Budapest joins the 23 connections that Vueling offers from Bilbao International Airport. The airline confirmed that for the next summer season in 2025, it will operate from Bilbao to 32 destinations in Spain, the rest of Europe, and Morocco.
Vueling operates a fleet of 36 aircraft, consisting exclusively of Airbus A320 family planes:
