Iberia launched Maridae, a new online platform offering a wide selection of wines, spirits, and gourmet products, both domestic and international. According to the company, this initiative includes wines served in the Business class of its long-haul flights and in the Premium lounges at Madrid airport.
According to Iberia, Maridae features more than 50 wine brands from renowned Spanish wineries and international labels, as well as 400 types of spirits from ten countries. Additionally, the catalog includes gourmet products such as cured meats, preserves, sweets, and oils, available for purchase on the website maridae.iberia.com with delivery to France, Germany, Italy, and Portugal.
The platform allows users to earn Avios, Iberia Plus’ points program, offering three Avios for every euro spent. These points can later be redeemed for flights, services, or products. Moreover, from December 12 to 18, customers using Avios for payments will receive a 20% discount on all products, according to the company.
Maridae includes features that allow buyers to share product reviews directly on the website. According to Iberia, this tool aims to help other users make informed decisions when choosing from over 1,000 product references available.
The company also announced the creation of Club 50, an exclusive space grouping 50 wineries selected for their quality, innovation, and history in the Spanish wine sector. According to Iberia, this club seeks to promote the prestige of the «Spain brand» in the international market.
Members of Club 50 will have access to private tastings, exclusive events, and unique products, as well as opportunities to interact with other members. “Our intention is to offer a distinctive experience for customers, highlighting the excellence of the Spanish wine sector,” the company emphasized.
