Alberto Robles is the new head of Airbus Helicopters for Latin America

Alberto Robles has been named Head of Latin America at Airbus Helicopters. Robles will report to Ben Bridge, Executive Vice President of Global Business – Airbus Helicopters.

With more than 30 years of international experience, Alberto Robles has a wide knowledge of the aerospace industry in Latin America, where he has held several positions at Airbus. Before assuming his current position, Robles was Head of International Coordination for Latin America, based in Miami. Prior to this, Robles held the position of Senior Vice President for Latin America in the Department

of Strategy & International, overseeing sales and strategic alignment of unitsof the company’s business in the region. Previously, Robles led Airbus operations sales in Colombia.

Robles acquired more than 20 years of business experience in the areas of customer service and sales of military aircraft in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. As well served in various technical roles at Airbus, including flight test engineer, production control and maintenance support services in the field.

Born in 1962, the Spanish began his professional career in 1987 in Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA (CASA) in Spain, which today is part of Airbus. He finished his studies in the United States, where he obtained a Master in Aeronautical Engineering in 1984. Alberto also obtained a VFR / IFR multi-engine flight license in the United States.

Airbus Helicopters has a presence of more than four decades in Latin America. With a fleet of more than 1,400 helicopters in service in the region, Airbus Helicopters constitutes almost a third of the operational fleet in this part of the world. Airbus is the leader in the helicopter market with 58% of the civil and parapublic market.

Airbus’ network of customer service centers, based in Mexico, Brazil and Chile, ensures continuous support for its types of helicopters flying in Latin America and the Caribbean and employs approximately 1,000 people.
