From May and June, Eastern Airlines had planned to start routes from Boston, Miami and New York to Latin America. The scheduled destinations were Belo Horizonte, Montevideo, Quito and Santo Domingo.
Eastern´s current network is Asuncion, Guayaquil and Managua from Miami, and flights between Guayaquil and New York (JFK). Previously, the airline flew to Georgetown, Los Cabos and Port Au Prince, and planned to fly to Buenos Aires and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, but this entire schedule was suspended.
Belo Horizonte and Montevideo are the new destinations of the airline that have suffered modifications in the last days, which planned to start at May and June. At the moment, Eastern Airlines plans to start with the cities previously mentioned from the end of June, with the same weekly frequencies.
Currently Santo Domingo continues with the same schedule, for May 26th with a daily flight from Miami and two operations per week from Boston on Eastern´s Boeing 767-200 and Boeing 767-300.
Montevideo will have two flights per week from Miami, while Eastern will operate six weekly flights to Belo Horizonte taking into account Boston, Miami and New York.
