#TBT: Aeroflot flights to Argentina, Chile and Uruguay in 1992
During the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, Aeroflot performed regular flights between Russia and different South American countries. Some of them were Argentina, Chile, Perú and Uruguay, mainly for fishing workers.
The operations had diverse stopovers over the years. In some cases they stopped in Europe and Africa, while in others in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
In 1992, Aeroflot operated flights with its Russian Ilyushin Il-62 and Ilyushin Il-86 aircraft. The Il-62s were used to Montevideo and Santiago de Chile, while the Il-86s flew to Buenos Aires.
