#TBT: Malaysia Airlines flights to Argentina in 2005

In the early 1990s, due to the incorporation of Boeing 747s, Malaysia Airlines inaugurated regular flights to Argentina, becoming the first Asian company to operate to South America. Services were performed twice a week with the aforementioned 359-seat aircraft.

Malaysia Airlines suspended its flights to Buenos Aires on January 29th, 2012, as a consequence of a restructuring by the airline. Thus, Malaysia and Argentina lost their connection after almost 20 years of uninterrupted service.
