LATAM Brazil reported that its program «Avião Solidário» surpassed the mark of more than 10 million vaccines against Covid-19 transported for free within Brazil.

According to the airline, since January 18 voluntary shipments totaling 10 million doses have been made aboard 133 flights to 25 states in the country. LATAM claims that the company is already responsible for 50% of the total doses that have been distributed in Brazil.

But that mark has been surpassed with a series of flights carried out on March 16 and others that will take place this Wednesday March 17, in which 2,8 million doses will be delivered to 21 states, as our partner in Brazil Aeroin.net reported.

LATAM Cargo emphasized that they were the first airline in America and the only one in South America to obtain the CEIV Pharma certification, issued by IATA (International Air Transport Association).

LATAM’s Solidarity Plane program, which has been in force for 9 years, has already transported more than 1,000 tons of cargo such as rapid tests, medicines and masks, among other products, to Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Argentina.

Regarding essential personnel and patients, more than 900 health professionals and around 500 residents with diverse medical needs have been mobilized for free.
