Avianca requests a route to Mexico City from Medellín

On June 2, the airline asked the Civil Aeronautics of Colombia for permission to operate the Medellín (MDE) – Mexico (MEX) – Medellín (MDE) route with the objective of carrying out 7 weekly frequencies.

With this order, Avianca seeks, taking advantage of the progressive but growing reopening of flights, more connectivity and supply for the region. The operation in question will be carried out with Airbus A319 / 320 aircraft.

In addition, the route to Cancún from Medellín will soon begin to operate non-stop. In this way, it makes clear its objective of offering greater connectivity to the Mexican Caribbean by facing the brand new Hub that Viva inaugurated in the capital of Antioquía.

The airline will start flying this route from July 2, operating 3 weekly frequencies on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with the A320.
