Spirit Airlines celebrated its ten years of operations in El Salvador together with authorities of the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA for its initials in Spanish), and in this context it highlighted the start of its non-stop flights between the Salvadoran capital and Miami from next October 6.

«We thank our passengers in El Salvador for trusting us during these ten years and for choosing us as an airline when looking for flight options,» said Thomas Canfield, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Spirit Airlines.

«The senior executive reiterated his confidence to continue working hand in hand with our country and his commitment to Salvadorans by continuing to provide low rates, high quality services and access to favorite destinations. The opening of this new route is a sign of economic recovery of the airline industry, but it also confirms the effectiveness in the implementation of the Economic Takeoff Plan and the confidence of foreign investors in El Salvador,» they highlighted from CEPA.

Spirit Airlines currently operates nine weekly flights to San Salvador from Fort Lauderdale and three from Houston / IAH. As of September, the schedule indicates a daily flight from Baltimore and two weekly flights from Orlando, totaling an offer of 10,400 seats per week in San Salvador, to which will be added flights from Miami, an airport in which the ultra-low- cost will make its landing after years of centralizing operations in Fort Lauderdale.
