This week, the Mexican regional company begins a series of routes from Aguascalientes (AGU), San Luis Potosí (SLP) and Torreón (TRC) to Monterrey (MTY) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR).

Aeromar continues to promote the recovery of the national market, taking advantage of the demand of the summer season in the northern hemisphere, which favored the inauguration of flights from Puerto Vallarta to Aguascalientes and San Luis Potosí.

On the other hand, the flights inaugurated from Monterrey to Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí and Torreón allow connecting to McAllen (Texas), enabling business and shopping travelers to make trips on the same day roundtrip.

Aeromar continues to progressively recover the offer of seats and flights, although far from what it offered prior to the pandemic. According to data obtained through Cirium, the company in July 2021 has an offer in ASK 37.5% below the same month of 2019.

The company maintains a fleet of three ATR 42-600 and seven ATR 72-600. Due to the health crisis itself, the airline lost destinations such as Cancun, Manzanillo, Oaxaca, Puebla, Poza Rica, Saltillo and Villahermosa. International sanitary restrictions also forced Cayo Coco, Havana, Santa Clara and Varadero in Cuba to cease their operations.

The new routes inaugurated this week show that the company is exploring new destinations and with the support of the municipalities of each city, the last point as part of encouraging the reactivation of commercial air traffic in the region.

Recently, Guatemalan government entities have met with Aeromar representatives to negotiate the landing in the tourist city of Flores and Guatemala City.
