Prior to the pandemic, the Argentina – Brazil market was the busiest international segment within Latin America and the Caribbean. Currently, with travel restrictions, both countries are connected with less than one daily frequency, only between Buenos Aires (AEP and EZE) and Sao Paulo (GRU).
Until March last year, Bariloche (BRC), Cordoba (COR), Mendoza (MDZ) and Rosario (ROS) had a connection with Brazil, in addition to the Argentine capital. Flights from these cities have not yet been confirmed. The provinces of Cordoba and Mendoza requested the national authority to allow international flights by submitting the corresponding protocols.
For passenger traffic between Argentina and Brazil, Aerolineas Argentinas, LATAM and Turkish Airlines have been authorized. In November GOL would start with Buenos Aires, and in December it would add Cordoba, Mendoza and Rosario. Likewise, for the moment there is no official information regarding the start of the Brazilian airline.
As for Azul Linhas Aereas, it is not known if it plans to resume its flights to Buenos Aires, as it did until March last year.
