Cargojet will debut Mammoth Freighters’ Boeing 777-200LR freighter conversion program following the signing of an agreement for two units. The Canadian cargo airline also has options for two Boeing 777-300ERMFs and two 777-200LRMFs.

The aircraft mentioned above, whose first unit is currently considered a prototype, is expected to be converted next year. It is estimated that by the second half of 2023 it will be ready for delivery flight to Cargojet.

According to Mammoth, this 777 variant is » the freighter of the future as of today» with efficient fuel consumption and a good load volume capacity of considerable weight. It has GE90-110/115B engines.

«We are thankful and happy for Mammoth’s selection by Cargojet to bring this conversion to market and the fact that we are demonstrating the importance of our product to the world. This is the next generation of converted freighters that have enhanced wing performance while using less fuel and emitting less carbon than the current widebody fleet» said Bill Tarpley, Co-CEO of Mammoth Freighters.
