Easyfly plans to fly 9 new routes in the country

Easyfly filed a request with the Colombian Civil Aeronautics Air Transport Office for authorization to operate nine domestic routes from Bogota, Cali and Rionegro.

The new routes, which would be operated on the airline’s usual fleet of ATR42 and 72, reflect the company’s sustained expansion as it returns to the break-even point it reached in July of this year after reporting losses of $150 billion pesos in 2020, allowing it to return to profit and meet its obligations to creditors.

Route Weekly frequency
Bogotá – Puerto Carreño – Bogotá 5 flights
Bogotá – San José Guaviare  – Bogotá 5 flights
Bogotá  – Puerto Inírida – Bogotá 5 flights
Cali  – Florencia  – Cali 2 flights
Bogotá  – Tumaco – Bogotá 3 flights
Rionegro  – Quibdó  – Rionegro 5 flights
Rionegro -Manizales – Rionegro 5 flights
Rionegro -Armenia – Rionegro 5 flights
Rionegro- Ibagué – Rionegro 5 flights

These routes will allow Easyfly to focus on operations from Rionegro once it has consolidated its plans at Medellín’s Olaya Herrera airport. Furthermore, with the return to the Bogota Airlift, it can open new routes due to the reduction in congestion that this represents.
