Air France expands its presence in Canada, the airline’s second-largest long-haul market in terms of seats offered.
As of May 17, 2022, the airline will begin operations between Paris (CDG) and Quebec (YQB) with three weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Air France will compete during the northern summer season with Air Transat, which offers service on the same route.
The flights will be operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft with new 224-seat cabins (36 in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy, and 167 in Economy Class).

This new connection increases the French airline’s presence in the Province of Quebec with two destinations connected through its hub in Paris (CDG), and passengers have the option of connecting to other French cities in Air France’s extensive domestic network.
Air France – KLM presence in Canada
Air France has operated in Canada since 1950. The airline offers flights from Paris (CDG) to Montreal (YUL), Air France’s second long-haul destination after New York), Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Vancouver (YVR).
During the northern summer, Air France will increase its capacity to Canada by 25% above pre-pandemic levels. Thus, it will become the European airline with the largest number of seats offered between Europe and Canada.
On the other hand, KLM has been operating in Canada since 1949 and currently has an offering to five destinations including Montreal, Toronto Pearson, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
