Last January 16th Eastern Airlines carried out its final scheduled flight between Miami and Montevideo. Services were operated in Boeing 767-300(ER), with capacity for 261 passengers, once a week.
Eastern’s operations to the Uruguayan capital had started in June 2021, with three weekly flights. The arrival of the airline followed the suspension of American Airlines, as the company only operates during the high season.
