Aerolineas Argentinas launches tender for an Airbus A330-200 simulator

Through a Request for Proposal (RFP), Aerolíneas Argentinas opened a tender to incorporate an Airbus A330-200 class D Full Flight Simulator (FFS).

The contracting modality will be leasing, with a preferred duration of 96 months, although interested parties may offer a contract of up to ten years. Installation work should begin after November 5, 2023, and the equipment should be ready for training by January 4, 2024.

The company is also asking bidders to include in their proposals training credits (as a reference, the company states it occupies one hundred slots per month) to be used by crews while the simulator is being installed or upgraded.

Bidders should indicate, among other data, the purchase price of the simulator at the beginning of the lease -only as a reference- and the residual price at the end of the contract, together with the amortization rate of the equipment.

The Argentine company has its own training and education center, CEFEPRA, which has a simulator for the Embraer 190 fleet, a Boeing 737 simulator and an A330/340 simulator. The latter was incorporated in November 2013, so it is estimated that it will be replaced by the one obtained in this search.

Aerolíneas Argentinas recently signed an agreement with Aeroméxico to provide training services to the Mexican airline’s crews.

The deadline for submitting proposals is June 19, 2022.
