Another Venezuelan aircraft with Iranian ties makes stop in Bolivia to avoid entering Argentina

At 10:00 local time this Wednesday (15), a special Conviasa flight departed from Simon Bolivar airport in Caracas with destination Buenos Aires. The operation was carried out in Airbus A340-642, registration YV3535, recently incorporated to the Venezuelan airline.

Because of the detention in Argentina of Emtrasur Cargo’s Boeing 747-3B3(M) linked to Iran, Conviasa’s Airbus A340 special flight will be carried out with a stopover in Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

According to the information obtained, such stopover is to change the aircraft on the Santa Cruz de la Sierra – Buenos Aires leg. Boliviana de Aviación will operate the Bolivia-Argentina leg through flights OB 9708/9709.

This aircraft, as we reported, arrived at Conviasa last Monday, June 13. Since then, the Airbus A340 has operated three flights for the company.
