Aeromexico continues to increase connectivity at Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA). By August, the company will double the number of destinations it serves when compared to the start of operations in March of this year.
To meet customer and business needs, starting August 15 the airline will operate six routes from AIFA, offering more than 10,000 seats per week in 112 flight operations.

- Acapulco (ACA) daily flights.
- Merida (MID) daily flights.
- Monterrey (MTY) two flights daily.
- Oaxaca (OAX) daily flights.
- Puerto Vallarta (PVR) daily flights.
All services are operated in Embraer E190 aircraft with a capacity of 99 seats in two classes (11 Clase Premier/88 Clase Turista).
Operated by Aeromexico Mainline
- Guadalajara (GDL) twice daily.
Flights are operated in Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft with 160 seats in two classes (16 Clase Premier/144 Clase Turista).
Aeromexico’s fleet strategy makes it possible for these destinations offered to and from AIFA to be in addition to those already operated from Mexico City International Airport (AICM).
Suspension of routes
As of August 15, the Mexican flag carrier will suspend operations on the Mexico City (NLU) – Villahermosa (VSA) route as of August 15 and will not initiate non-stop service between Felipe Angeles Airport (AIFA) and Cancun (CUN) scheduled for the same date.
According to data compiled by Aviacionline through Cirium indicates that by August of this year, Aeromexico will be the largest airline operator at AIFA with a 41.7% share of the domestic market and will have a capacity of 13,132 seats per week.
