Aerolíneas Argentinas to add a new domestic route from Buenos Aires

In what represents a historic event for the province of San Luis, Aerolíneas Argentinas announced this Tuesday (20) that for the first time it will operate regular flights between Buenos Aires/Aeroparque and Valle del Conlara airport, which serves the area of influence of Villa de Merlo and Santa Rosa del Conlara.

The new service will consist of two weekly operations, on Thursdays and Sundays, starting on December 1st. On Thursdays flight AR1436 will depart from Aeroparque at 11:00 to arrive in Merlo at 12:50. On Sundays the departure from Buenos Aires will be at 15:00 as AR1438, arriving in the city of San Luis Potosí at 16:50. The return as AR1439 will be at 17:40, landing at Aeroparque at 19:00. Flights will be operated in Embraer E190 aircraft with capacity for 96 passengers. Fares starting at ARS 10,000 roundtrip (~USD 70 at the official exchange rate or ~USD 34 in free exchange) can be found on the company’s website.

“Announcing a new destination is always special because every plane with tourists is revenue, jobs and growth. We hope that these flights will add muscle to the development of tourism in the province of San Luis,” said Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

This new route complements the one that the company already operates between Buenos Aires/Aeroparque and the city of San Luis, which increased from seven to nine flights per week.
