This Saturday (22), Air Caraïbes landed for the first time in Mexico with two weekly flights between Paris – Orly (ORY) and Cancun (CUN). The company will be the third airline to offer non-stop operations between France and the Aztec country, increasing its Caribbean network to eleven destinations.
Flight TX 648 was operated in an Airbus A350 registered with the registration number F-HTRE, which took off from Orly Airport (ORY) at 11:28 local time and landed at Cancun International Airport (CUN) at 14:20. This operation lasted nine hours and 52 minutes.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Eurostat statistics 197,891 were mobilized in 2019 between Paris and Cancun. France is the third largest European market for the state of Quintana Roo, only behind the United Kingdom and Spain.

The route will be operated on Airbus A350-900 aircraft with a capacity of 389 seats in three classes (18 Madras Class/45 Caraibes Class/329 Soleil Class) and promotional fares are available from EUR 265 each way.
According to data compiled by Aviacionline through the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) 471,926 passengers were mobilized with an occupancy factor of 89.6% in the period January – August 2022 between Mexico and France. This segment is the third largest long-haul market in the Aztec country, and Air France, Aeroméxico and Air Caraïbes will be operating in the upcoming winter season.
Air Caraïbes’ Caribbean network covers Havana (HAV), Santiago de Cuba (SCU), Punta Cana (PUJ), Santo Domingo (SDQ), Port-au-Prince (PAP), Guadeloupe (PTP), Martinique (FDF), Saint Lucia (SLU), Saint Martin (SFG), Sint Maarten (SXM) and now Cancun (CUN).
