On December 12 ZIPAIR Tokyo started operations between Narita Airport (NRT) and San Jose, California (SJO), initially this route will have three weekly flights. With this new service, the low cost airline now offers three destinations in the United States.
Flight ZG 30 was operated in a Boeing 787 Dreamliner registered under the registration JA826J, which took off from Narita International Airport (NRT) at 16:16 local time and landed at Norman Y. Mineta International Airport (SJC) at 07:59, after eight hours and 43 minutes.

- Tokyo/Narita – San Jose, California Flight ZG 30 NRT 16:00 – SJC 08:00 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
- San Jose, California – Tokyo/Narita Flight ZG 29 SJC 10:00 – NRT 14:30+1 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
The route will be operated on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with 290 seats in two classes (18 ZIP Full-Flat/272 Economy) and promotional fares are available from USD 228 each way.
This service will provide San Jose (SJC) with its only non-stop connection to Asia and the only long-haul service operated by a low-cost carrier. The last connection between SJC and the Japanese capital was on March 23, 2022, on a daily service operated by All Nippon Airways.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, ZIPAIR in January 2023 will have an offer of 8,700 weekly seats between Narita (NRT) and the United States through three destinations. In the coming years, the low-cost airline expects to increase its aircraft fleet and expand its intercontinental network.
