American Airlines has announced a significant expansion on the New York – Buenos Aires route starting in December, just in time for the southern summer season. Currently, the airline operates once a day with Boeing 777-200(ER) aircraft configured for 273 passengers.
According to the Cirium platform, American will fly 10 times a week between both cities starting on December 5. This schedule is planned until February 13, when daily service will resume.

After 14 years, American will have more than one daily flight between New York and Buenos Aires. The last time this happened was during the 2008/2009 summer, when Delta Air Lines also operated this route.
As previously announced, Delta will begin operating flights to Buenos Aires from the North American city on October 28.
