On April 30, World2Fly started its non-stop flights between Lisbon (LIS) and Cancun (CUN). For the summer season, the leisure airline will have a network of four destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean from the Portuguese city.
Flight 3P 2151 was operated in an Airbus A350 registered as EC-NOI, which took off from Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) at 15:06 local time and landed at Cancun International Airport (CUN) at 18:59, nine hours and 52 minutes.
The inaugural flight celebration was attended by Bruno Figueroa, Ambassador of Mexico in Portugal; Duarte Correia, Country Manager of W2M WORLD 2 MEET; Francisco Pita, Commercial Director of ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, S.A.; Newblue employees and press personnel from Portuguese media.
World2Fly flight schedule between Lisbon and Cancun
- Lisbon – Cancun Flight 3P 2151 LIS 14:25 – CUN 18:30 Sunday.
- Cancun – Lisbon Flight 3P 2152 CUN 20:30 – LIS 11:40+1 Sunday.
The route is operated on Airbus A350-900 aircraft with a capacity of 432 passengers in single economy class configuration and promotional fares are available from USD 1,144 round trip. The leisure airline also offers non-stop flights between Madrid (MAD) and Cancun (CUN).
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Mexico’s Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC), 139,621 passengers and 3,657.8 tons of cargo were mobilized in 2019 between Lisbon (LIS) and Cancun (CUN). World2Fly currently competes in this segment with TAP Air Portugal and Iberojet.
