The low cost reaches the ninth aircraft in Argentina, all of them Airbus A320ceo. For the moment, as announced by Gonzalo Pérez Corral and Darío Ratinoff, General Manager and Commercial Manager of JetSMART Argentina respectively, the Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo are focused on its other two bases, although the possibility of incorporating them in the future is being analyzed.
JetSMART’s ninth aircraft in the country will enter service between Saturday July 1st and Tuesday July 4th. In addition, on Monday July 3rd, the company will inaugurate its regular operations between Buenos Aires and San Martin de los Andes, which will start with three weekly services, planning to increase to four or five in the following weeks.

Prior to the visit to the aircraft, Gonzalo Pérez Corral and Darío Ratinoff communicated different concepts of the low cost:
- «This number of flights (1,700) represents a 63% growth in our offer for this season, compared to the 1,056 we operated in July 2022,» says Darío Ratinoff, JetSMART’s Commercial Manager. «For this season we see strong demand for all snow centers, including for our new route to San Martín de los Andes, which will be activated next July 3rd with the inaugural flight. There is also an important growth in demand for the destinations of Iguazú, Salta and Mendoza, to mention the most outstanding ones» the executive points out.
- «JetSMART’s commitment to Argentina is clear. The arrival of this ninth aircraft is the result of a thoughtful investment, planned and executed since the beginning of the year, with the anticipation required by an industry such as the airline industry», says Gonzalo Pérez Corral, JetSMART’s General Manager. «This also allows us to generate new jobs and increase the demand for services to our ecosystem of suppliers, thus boosting regional economies. Bringing in a new aircraft is like opening a new factory: it enables us to bring more dollars into the country through incoming international tourism,» adds the executive.
- «The fact that we have 100 aircraft already committed to Airbus gives us a lot of flexibility to be able to adapt to the needs of the market. We hope to be able to grow at Aeroparque to be able to offer one more option to Argentines so that they can travel more cheaply around the country,» the airline concludes.
- JetSMART was awarded as the best low cost airline in South America in 2023 according to SKYTRAX.
