American Airlines launches flights to Tampico, Mexico

American Airlines expands its Mexican network from Texas with a new non-stop service between Dallas/Fort Worth to Tampico, with this service the airline operates to 29 destinations in Mexico. This connection aims to increase the flow of passengers from the United States to the Tampico International Airport, American is the second American air operator to fly complementing the operation of United Airlines from Houston-Intercontinental.

The service will be operated by its regional subsidiary American Eagle in Embraer 170 aircraft with a capacity of 65 passengers, the flights will be available throughout the year. The domestic offer from Tampico serves Mexico City, Cancun, and Monterrey, and regional routes to Villahermosa, Reynosa, and Veracruz.

American’s network from Dallas/Fort Worth to Mexico has service to Acapulco, Aguascalientes, León/Guanajuato, Cancun, Chihuahua, Cozumel, Durango, Guadalajara, Huatulco, Loreto, Mexico City, Mérida, Morelia, Monterrey, Mazatlán, Oaxaca, Puerto Vallarta, Querétaro, Los Cabos, San Luis Potosí, Tulum, Torreón, Veracruz, Zacatecas, Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo and Manzanillo. Additionally, the airline operates from Phoenix-Sky Harbor to Hermosillo and Tijuana.
