After a couple of turbulent months due to the conflict with the country’s main aviation unions, Aerolíneas Argentinas has launched a campaign to recover lost ground for the summer season, offering ticket financing in up to 18 interest-free installments.

The protest measures carried out by the unions, combined with the government’s unwillingness to compromise on their demands, foreshadowed a period where the fulfillment of flights could be at risk in the coming months. This uncertainty impacted Aerolíneas Argentinas‘ sales by nearly USD 20 million, according to the company, even though in recent years it has generally maintained higher levels of punctuality and reliability than its competitors in the country.

For this reason, from Monday, November 18, to Sunday, November 24, Aerolíneas Argentinas is offering six interest-free installments with all banks and credit cards for domestic flights under the Cuota Simple program. Additionally, financing with Santander Bank will extend up to 18 interest-free installments.

They also announced that from November 29 to December 1, they will launch the «Aerolíneas Friday» campaign, aimed at compensating for their inability to participate in Argentina’s Cyber Monday event a few weeks ago, when the conflict with the unions was still ongoing.

According to information gathered by Aviacionline through Cirium, in December Aerolíneas Argentinas will offer 1.36 million seats across its network. This figure will rise to 1.38 million in January before decreasing to 1.21 million in February and 1.31 million as the summer comes to a close. Overall, this represents a 9.9% reduction in seat availability compared to the December 2023 – March 2024 period.
