VIVA strengthens its presence in Jalisco with the introduction in December of eight new routes from the Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport in Guadalajara.
New international routes:
- Oakland (San Francisco), California: one daily flight
- Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas: four weekly flights
- Las Vegas, Nevada: four weekly flights
- San Antonio, Texas: four weekly flights
New domestic routes:
- Mexicali: one daily flight
- Ciudad Obregón: three weekly flights
- Puerto Escondido: three weekly flights
- Torreón: three weekly flights
With these new services, the low-cost airline’s network in Guadalajara rises to 30 nonstop destinations. Since it began operations at the Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport, VIVA has transported more than 36 million passengers. Additionally, these new routes add to the six operated from Puerto Vallarta, reaching a total of 36 nonstop services from Jalisco.
These routes target leisure, business, and VFR (visiting friends and/or relatives) passengers, strengthening cultural and economic ties between Mexico and the United States. These services are supported by the Government of Jalisco and Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), which have worked to enhance connectivity in the region.
In Guadalajara, VIVA also offers services to Bogotá, Cancún, Chicago O’Hare, Chihuahua, Ciudad Juárez, Culiacán, Hermosillo, La Paz (Baja California Sur), Los Angeles, Mérida, Mexico City-AICM, Mexico City-AIFA, Monterrey, Nuevo Laredo, Puebla, Puerto Vallarta, Reynosa, Tijuana, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Veracruz, Villahermosa, Houston-Intercontinental, and Los Cabos.
