Copa Airlines adds Atlanta as new US destination

Copa Airlines will add Atlanta (ATL) to its network as its 14th destination in the United States.

The new route will connect Panama’s Tocumen International Airport (PTY) with Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and will begin on December 12 with four weekly flights on a schedule that will connect Copa’s multiple destinations in its Hub of the Americas to the Caribbean and South America.

Taking advantage of the growing demand for vacation destinations in the region from U.S. tourists, this announcement will benefit tourism and business in Panama.

In addition, Atlanta has been experiencing a growing presence of Spanish speakers, with more than 29,000 inhabitants, especially descendants from Mexico, Puerto Rico and El Salvador, according to the latest U.S. census.
