Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) has announced that it will supply thirteen additional Boeing 737-800SFs to Aero Capital Solutions (ACS). With this contract extension, ACS will operate a fleet of thirty-four units of the model converted by AEI, making the company AEI’s largest customer to date.

The B737-800SFs offer a main deck payload of up to 52,700 lbs (23,904 kg) and incorporate eleven 88″ x 125″ container positions. New under-floor beams at the rear of the wing box, a large 86″ x 137″ main cargo door with a new ventilation system are incorporated during the conversion. In addition, an Ancra loading system, a rigid barrier capable of withstanding up to 9g, five seats, a galley, and a toilet are installed during the work.

This is ACS’ third 737-800SF order so far this year and fourth overall. The company placed its first order in October 2020, ordering four units. It subsequently ordered ten additional units in January and eight in June.

The first conversion will begin in March 2023. Work on this aircraft will be performed entirely at AEI’s Commercial Jet conversion facility located in Miami, Florida. The other twelve units will be distributed among Commercial Jet, KF Aerospace (Canada), and HAECO Xiamen (China). The last aircraft of this order should begin modification in December 2023, for delivery in 2024.
