Comlux builds hangar at Dubai Airport

Comlux, one of the leaders in business aviation services, transactions, and completion, announced the execution of an agreement with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, Dubai’s aerospace platform dedicated to the advancement of the aviation industry, to jointly develop a hangar facility at MBRAH spanning 12,000 square meters of land.

The facility will be equipped to simultaneously accommodate two types of ACJ and BBJ family aircraft, including the future ACJ TwoTwenty. By mid-2023, the hangar will be fully operational, and Comlux will provide its Middle East customers with EASA and UAE (Part 145) approved maintenance services, as well as cabin upgrade and quality refurbishment work on its VIP aircraft.

The Comlux Tech organization is in charge of the project with Comlux Group. Their objective is to further develop enhanced synergies between Comlux Aviation’s operations and Comlux Completion’s expertise in VIP cabin engineering and craftsmanship to better service the bizliner fleets and, in particular, the ACJ TwoTwenty, which will enter service in early 2023.

Comlux Aviation operates a fleet of 20 VIP aircraft, including a number of Airbus and Boeing: ACJ318, ACJ319, ACJ320 neo, 737-500BBJ, 767BBJ, 777BBJ, and 787 BBJ. Comlux Completion, based in Indianapolis, USA, is an authorized ACJ and BBJ cabin supplier, an ACJ service center, a BBJ warranty, and repair facility, and the exclusive completion center for the first 15 ACJ TwoTwenty cabins.

MBRAH offers global aerospace players high-level connectivity and is a free zone destination for the world’s leading airlines, private jet companies and associated industries. Located in and developed by Dubai South, MBRAH also houses maintenance centers and training and education campuses. It aims to strengthen engineering industries to further the emirate’s vision of being a leading aviation hub.
