As Easyfly continues to open routes in Colombia, it is now the turn of Santa Cruz de Mompox, which will have a direct flight to the Rafael Núñez International Airport in Cartagena as of January 2, 2022.

According to the company, the new route, which will operate with two weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays, is a result of the good results of the number of passengers that have traveled from Olaya Herrera Airport in the city of Medellin to Mompox.

In this regard, Vicente Blel, Governor of Bolivar, commented. «From the Government of Bolivar we are continuing with the agenda of turning Mompox into the most important intermediate city in the region and that is why we invite you to enjoy the magical Mompox, where you will be captivated not only by the beauty of the universal heritage of humanity but also by its people full of love while living over sunsets on the Magdalena River,» he said.

Meanwhile, Alfonso Avila Velandia, Easyfly’s President, affirmed that the airline has plans to inaugurate a new route from the city in 2022. «After conversations and technical studies before the response to the pandemic, we are pleased to present the second destination connecting Mompox, and we are now preparing for the third one in 2022 with which we strengthen our commitment to connect in an efficient and practical way the different regions of the national geography».

The Cartagena-Mompox-Cartagena route will be operated directly on Thursdays and Sundays, in ATR42 aircraft with a capacity for 48 passengers.
