Starting in March and April, Aeromexico will resume operation of several routes to the United States from Monterrey (MTY) which have been suspended since the outbreak of the pandemic. The company currently has only one international flight in that city, linking it with Madrid (MAD).
In 2021, Monterrey’s (MTY) international passenger traffic recovered 90.2% from 2019 levels. For the summer season four Mexican airlines, Aeromar, Aeromexico, Viva Aerobus, and Volaris will have flights to the United States.

Aeromexico will relaunch four international destinations in the United States with an operation of 19 weekly flights and an offer of 3,762 seats per week.
Detroit (DTW)
Beginning March 14, the company will offer daily flights operated by Embraer E190 aircraft through its subsidiary Aeromexico Connect with 1,386 seats per week. In 2019, the route between Detroit (DTW) and Monterrey (MTY) mobilized 97,032 passengers in 1,325 flight operations.

Orlando (MCO)
Starting April 7, the company will offer three weekly flights on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays operated by Embraer E190 aircraft through its subsidiary Aeromexico Connect with an offer of 594 seats per week. In 2019 the route between Monterrey (MTY) and Orlando (MCO) mobilized 7,138 passengers in 90 flight operations.

Los Angeles (LAX)
Starting April 8, the company will offer four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays operated by Embraer E190 aircraft through its subsidiary Aeromexico Connect with an offer of 792 seats per week. In 2019, the route between Monterrey (MTY) – Los Angeles (LAX) mobilized 61,511 passengers in 798 flight operations.

New York (JFK)
Starting April 7, the company will offer five weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays operated by Embraer E190 aircraft through its subsidiary Aeromexico Connect with an offer of 990 seats per week. In 2019, the route between Monterrey (MTY) and New York (JFK) mobilized 48,607 passengers in 728 flight operations.

- Madrid – Monterrey Flight AM35 MAD 23:35 – MTY 05:00+1 three weekly flights on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
All flights will be operated in Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with 274 seats in two classes and a capacity of 1,644 seats per week.
