GlobalX signs letter of intent for 200 eVTOLs with Embraer’s Eve

Eve UAM, LLC (Eve), Embraer S.A. company, and Miami-based Global Crossing Airlines Group (GlobalX) have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for an order of up to 200 eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft. The agreement is included in Eve’s order backlog of 1,785 eVTOLs.

According to Embraer, the agreement represents a promising partnership that aims to explore development in Miami-Dade and to expand urban air mobility (UAM). Finally, the deal strengthens the concept of operations (CONOPS).

GlobalX will contribute to the formulation of the necessary infrastructure to enable eVTOL flights. On the other hand, it will help the deployment of Eve’s aircraft on the company’s routes, with the first deliveries expected to begin in 2026.

Ed Wegel explained that they will allow them to expand their market throughout South Florida. Therefore bringing their flights closer to Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports, as well as local flights in Key West and the Florida Keys, Naples, and Palm Beach.

Their airline expertise will contribute to Eve’s expansion and implementation of eVTOL in North America.
