Smartwings and Eurowings have started the first phase of a codeshare agreement as of March 21, giving customers more travel options on their intra-European flights.
The Czech airline places its «QS» code on Eurowings flights between Prague (PRG) and 16 destinations: Cologne (CGN), Hamburg (HAM), Düsseldorf (DUS), Bristol (BRS), Birmingham (BHX), Copenhagen (CPH), Barcelona (BCN), Athens (ATH), Larnaca (LCA), Heraklion (HER), Malaga (AGP), Alicante (ALC), Stockholm – Arlanda (ARN), Faro (FAO), Rome – Fiumicino (FCO) and Palma de Mallorca (PMI).
Smartwings customers will now be able to benefit from more direct connections to a wide range of destinations throughout Europe.
Both airlines announced this agreement in early November 2021. In the next phase of this partnership, Eurowings is scheduled to place its code on flights operated by the Czech carrier.

For the summer season, Eurowings will be opening its base in Prague (PRG). This will certainly allow the expansion of its operation in Central Europe. It will count with three Airbus A320 aircraft with a Czech crew. The flights will be operated through Eurowings Europe (2W).
From Prague (PRG), Eurowings will have an offer of 18,912 seats in 126 air operations, through 17 destinations.(Source: Cirium plaftorm). Its network will be to major tourist destinations in Europe such as Spain, Greece, Italy, among others.

Smartwings’ summer schedule from Prague (PRG) will offer scheduled flights to 51 destinations. This will include the newest one to Santorini (JTR). The Czech Low-Cost airline will have an offer of 73,378 seats per week in 384 air operations. (Source: Cirium)
Smartwings will also offer scheduled and charter flights from Czech regional airports: Brno (BRQ), Ostrava (OSR), Pardubice (PED), and Karlovy Vary (KLV).
