The company OPAIN, which manages El Dorado Airport (BOG), presented Colombia’s first portal for job opportunities in the aeronautical sector. The site was primarily designed to benefit the surrounding communities of Engativá, Fontibón and Funza.

«Pista de Oportunidades» portal (pistadeoportunidades.opain.co) shows employments opportunities from airlines, businesses, suppliers and other actors at the country’s main airport. According to the air station’s management company, the initiative is focused on neighboring communities. In this sense, it is intended to help the inhabitants of those communities to find a job.

As with other similar initiatives, it will help to strengthen the links between nearby towns and the airport. It also has the support and commitment of the surrounding municipalities.

«The Pista de Oportunidades portal demonstrates how we work at El Dorado to create relevant connections with our neighbors and the environment in which we operate,» said Andrés Ortega, General Manager of OPAIN. «We are proud to deliver this news today, as we know it is the beginning of an initiative created to transform and leverage the personal and professional development of the communities surrounding El Dorado», he added.
