Turpial Airlines will resume operations between Valencia (VLN) and Punta Cana (PUJ) with two weekly flights starting July 7. This will be the second destination of the company in the Dominican Republic.
The flights will be operated in Boeing 737 Classics aircraft with a capacity of 144 – 158 seats, depending on the configuration, and passengers have the option of making subsequent connections to other destinations.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Aviation Board (JAC) for the first quarter of 2022, the company has mobilized a total of 4,373 passengers between Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, an increase of 4.5% over the same period last year.

More flights to Dominican Republic
From July 11, the airline will add a new frequency on its route to Santo Domingo (SDQ) to facilitate onward connections, the company will offer a total of five weekly flights between Valencia and Dominican Republic.

Turpial Airlines also operates international flights from Valencia (VLN) to Panama – Tocumen and charter operations to Havana (HAV) and Santiago de Cuba (SCU).
Punta Cana (PUJ) becomes the second most connected airport in the Dominican Republic to Venezuela with scheduled flights, in addition to Turpial’s return from Valencia, Rutaca Airlines offers non-stop services from Caracas (CCS) and Maracaibo.
According to data obtained from the JAC, between Maiquetia Airport (CCS) and Punta Cana (PUJ) 3,540 passengers have been mobilized during the first quarter of 2022.
