World2fly inaugurates flights to Santo Domingo

On June 19, World2fly inaugurated its flights between Madrid (MAD) and Santo Domingo (SDQ). With two weekly flights and an offer of 1,728 seats per week, this is the company’s second destination in the Dominican Republic.

Flight WFL 3049 was operated by an Airbus A350 registered with the registration EC-NOI, which took off at 17:18 local time from Terminal 1 of Adolfo Suarez Airport (MAD) and landed at Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) at 19:02.

Dominican Republic was the first country where World2fly operated, on June 19 it started operating non-stop services to Punta Cana (PUJ). According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) from June 2021 to April 2022, the Iberostar Group airline mobilized 55,771 passengers in the Caribbean country from Spain and Portugal.

Flight Itinerary

  • Madrid – Santo Domingo Flight WFL 3409 MAD 16:30 – SDQ 19:10 Wednesday and Sunday.
  • Santo Domingo – Madrid Flight WFL 3410 SDQ 21:10 – MAD 11:30+1 Wednesday and Sunday.

Flights will be operated in Airbus A350-900 aircraft with a capacity of 432 seats in single configuration. Promotional fares start at USD 450 each way.

Data compiled by Aviacionline through Aena Estadísticas shows that in 2021 Santo Domingo (SDQ) was the second most important intercontinental market to Madrid (MAD), as 425,614 passengers and 7,284.29 tons of cargo were mobilized in 1,657 air operations.

World2fly’s scheduled flights in Madrid (MAD)

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Cirium platform, the Spanish leisure airline will have an offer of 8,640 seats per week in 20 air operations between the Spanish capital and the Caribbean:

  • Cancun (CUN) three times a week.
  • Havana (HAV) twice a week.
  • Punta Cana (PUJ) three times a week.
  • Santo Domingo (SDQ) three times a week.
