As of November 18, Conviasa will begin services between Caracas (CCS) and Doha (DOH) with a stopover in Algiers (ALG). This will be the company’s third destination in Asia and the second in the Middle East region. This new route will benefit travelers to reach the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Venezuelan state-owned carrier recently announced its operations to Guangzhou, China (CAN) via Tehran (IKA), as part of the company’s international expansion, announced by Juan Teixeira, president of the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC).
The flights to Qatar will be operated by Airbus A340-300 and Airbus A340-600 aircraft with a capacity of 255 and 308 passengers respectively.

- Caracas (CCS) 19:00 – Doha (DOH) 20:25+1 Friday.
- Doha (DOH) 16:25 – Caracas (CCS) 03:50+1 Sunday.
Conviasa will be the second South American operator to offer flights to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup. Aerolineas Argentinas was the first company to offer flights to Doha (DOH) which will be operated via Rome – Fiumicino (FCO).
Currently, the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) has authorized scheduled commercial passenger and cargo flights to Brazil, Cuba, Turkey, Russia, Mexico, Bolivia, Panama, Portugal, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Spain and Iran. The rest of the operations are carried out under a special modality.
