On September 1, Viva Aerobus along with the directors of the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) celebrated the start of three new routes: Acapulco, Puerto Escondido and Oaxaca.

Route schedule
Mexico City (NLU) – Acapulco (ACA)
The company will offer three flights, two flights per week operated by Airbus A321ceo and A320ceo and will offer 800 seats per week.
- Flight VB 9201 NLU 08:30 – ACA 09:40 Monday and Friday.
- Flight VB 9202 ACA 10:35 – NLU 11:50 Monday and Friday.
Mexico City (NLU) – Oaxaca (OAX)
The airline will have two weekly flights operated in Airbus A320ceo and A321neo and will offer 840 seats per week.
- Flight VB 9211 NLU 08:30 – OAX 11:50 Wednesday and Saturday.
- Flight VB 9212 OAX 10:35 – NLU 11:55 Wednesday and Saturday.
Mexico City (NLU) – Puerto Escondido (PXM)
Viva Aerobus will offer two flights per week operated on Airbus A320ceo and A320neo and will have a supply of 1,092 seats per week. The Ministry of Tourism of the Government of the State of Oaxaca (Sectur Oaxaca) was present at the celebration of the route in PXM, along with municipal authorities, representatives of the airline and tourism providers.
- Flight VB 7002 NLU 08:30 – PXM 09:50 Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
- Flight VB 7003 PXM 10:25 – NLU 11:55 Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Continued growth at AIFA
The low-cost carrier currently offers non-stop service from Monterrey (MTY), Guadalajara (GDL) and Cancun (CUN) from AIFA. In December of this year, Viva Aerobus expects to inaugurate its first international destination from this new airport to Havana, Cuba (HAV).
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, the Monterrey-based airline will have an offer of 10,624 seats per week from AIFA, making it the third largest airline operator at this airport with a 28.97% market share.
