Flights to Germany: EVA Air landed in Munich

On November 3 EVA Air landed for the first time in Germany with its new service between Taipei (TPE) and Munich (MUC). The Bavarian capital becomes the company’s sixth destination in Europe, recently the airline inaugurated operations to Milan – Malpensa (MXP).

Flight BR 71 was operated in a Boeing 777-300ER registered with registration B-16706 and features the special «Hello Kitty» livery, the aircraft took off from Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) at 09:40 local time and landed at Munich Airport (MUC) at 17:29, after 14 hours and 49 minutes.

Flight itinerary

  • Taipei – Munich Flight BR 71 TPE 23:10 – MUC 07:25+1 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Munich – Taipei Flight BR 72 MUC 11:40 – TPE 06:40+1 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The route will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 304 passengers in two classes (26 Business Class/278 Economy).

According to data compiled by Aviacionline through Cirium, EVA Air will offer 20,144 weekly seats to Europe this winter boreal season. The company offers services to Paris (CDG), London – Heathrow (LHR), Amsterdam (AMS), Vienna (VIE), Milan – Malpensa (MXP) and Munich (MUC).

Taiwan is Asia’s fifth-largest economy and an important trading partner for Germany. The island’s most important industry is the production of electronic components. Other important industries in the nation include the mechanical engineering, chemical, biotechnology, energy, and automotive sectors.
