British Airways is strengthening its connectivity in the state of Florida by increasing its non-stop services between London – Gatwick (LGW) and Tampa (TPA) as of March 25. The airline will be the largest long-haul operator on TAP in terms of seats per seat kilometers offered (ASK) for the summer season.
This service will increase from five flights a week to operate every day with an offer of 4,696 seats per week according to data obtained through Cirium, a 46% increase in capacity when compared to the winter season.

Flight Itinerary
- London/Gatwick – Tampa Flight BA 2167 LGW 12:55 – TPA 16:55 daily flights.
- Tampa – London/Gatwick Flight BA 2166 TPA 18:55 – LGW 08:35+1 daily flights.
The route is operated by Boeing 777-200ER aircraft with seating capacity between 332 and 336 seats in three classes (32 Business Class/48-52 Premium Economy/252 Economy).
According to data compiled by Aviacionline through the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), 234,071 passengers were mobilized in 2019 between London – Gatwick (LGW) and Tampa (TPA). It was the fourth largest in the market between the UK and Florida.
British Airways will offer 19,982 seats per week between the British capital and Florida offering daily flights between Heathrow (LHR) and Miami (MIA) operated on Airbus A380s; 13 weekly operations between Gatwick (LGW) and Orlando (MCO) operated on Boeing 777-200ERs; and upcoming daily flights between Gatwick (LGW) and Tampa (TPA).
